It's no good to CHASE around...
After CUTIES, younger than ME...
(At least...not any LAD under 23!!)
I hang around Construction Sites
And gaze at the boys ...up 40 flights
Of half-built stairs, wit thur "Hard Hats" on!
Pose'n on the beams, show'n off thur BRAWN!!!
Times like these, I'm hit ("POW!") wit the TRUTH
That I SAT, do'n NUT'N... and wasted my YOUTH.
A "Balancing Queen!!!"...cud-a, "shud-a" ..been m' DREAM..!!
NOW, I'd be up THAR wit the BOYS..on a concrete BEAM!

50 GREY Hairs!!! Not one of 'em, brown..
Like they use to be when I YOUNG !!!
In thos days, Piller to Post, I swung!
First, a BUM! Then, a WINO! Then, an Indian Chief!
Spent time wit "Buck Naked"...but, it was BRIEF!!
CUDn't stand his feathers! They made me sneeze
Sweat Tents?? Pure Torture!!!..(Jus ask me knees!!!)
Next day, I found....a "BLING" of a Man
A Diamond in the RUFF! The Shah of I-CAN" !!
He GOT me a RING and a gown..wit a veil..
Then, the COPS came....and threw him in JAIL...!!!
